Gaudete, Gaudete, Invictus Natus

Here is my song for the day in honor of Sol Invictus.

Gaudete, gaudete Invictus natus
nobis matre ex Nocte, gaudete!

Sol et Luna praesident
super firmamento
Duo nunquam resident
manent permanento

Gaudete, gaudete Invictus natus
nobis matre ex Nocte, gaudete!

Deus Sol Invictus est
Imperator caeli
Sustentatus terrae est
similiter Nili

Gaudete, gaudete Invictus natus
nobis matre ex Nocte, gaudete!

Lux fietur caritas
Lux caelorum Solis
Te agemus gratias
multis benedictis

Gaudete, gaudete Invictus natus
nobis matre ex Nocte, gaudete!

Rejoice and delight! The Unconquered One is born
from our mother, Nox [Night] – rejoice!

Sol and Luna preside
over the firmament;
The two, never subsiding
remain with permanence.

Rejoice and delight! The Unconquered One is born
from our mother, Nox [Night] – rejoice!

The Unconquered Sun God is
Emperor of the sky,
He is the sustenance of the earth
like the Nile.

Rejoice and delight! The Unconquered One is born
from our mother, Nox [Night] – rejoice!

Light becomes love –
the Light of the heavens of Sol;
We give you thanks
for (your) many blessings.

Rejoice and delight! The Unconquered One is born
from our mother, Nox [Night] – rejoice!

    I really like this song . . . especially in English so I understand it 😉 :-P. BTW, have you thought of a song to accompany the words?

  2. Edward says:

    PSVL, word on the street is that you actually know how to sing. Ever thought of recording this?

  3. Alex says:

    I love this!! I know I’m completely in the wrong season for it (it’s May right now), but I just sang the entire thing. I love the christian Gaudete and it was one of those songs I missed singing since becoming pagan, so you can imagine how excited I was to find it. Thank you so much for writing it!
